Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how IVORY OPAL LLC ("Ivory Opal," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use ivoryopal.com or book our cleaning services. We collect the minimum we need to clean your home or business well and get paid for it — nothing more.
1. Information we collect
- Booking details you give us: name, email, phone number, service address, entry instructions, and any notes you add (pets, product preferences, focus areas).
- Payment information: handled entirely by Square, Inc., our payment processor. Card numbers are entered into Square's secure form and never touch our servers. We receive only a payment confirmation, the card brand, and its last four digits. If you choose to save a card, it is stored by Square under their security standards (PCI-DSS Level 1), not by us.
- Messages: emails, texts, and call notes when you contact us.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs standard request data such as IP address and browser type to serve the site securely. See our Cookie Policy for what runs in your browser.
2. How we use it
- To schedule, perform, and follow up on cleaning services.
- To process payments, holds, and refunds through Square.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and service updates.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. We do not send you marketing email unless you ask for it.
3. Who we share it with
- Square — payment processing and saved cards (see their privacy policy at squareup.com/legal/privacy).
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security.
- Our cleaning staff — the address, entry instructions, and notes needed to perform your service.
- Authorities — only if legally required (for example, a valid subpoena).
4. How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept as long as needed for service history, warranties on our work, and tax/accounting requirements (generally 7 years). Entry instructions and notes are kept while you remain a client. You can ask us to delete information sooner — see below.
5. Your choices & rights
- Access or correction: ask us what we hold about you and we'll show you or fix it.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your information; we'll do so except where we're legally required to keep records.
- Saved cards: ask us to remove a saved card at any time and we'll disable it with Square immediately.
- Colorado residents: the Colorado Privacy Act gives you rights of access, correction, deletion, and data portability, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising (we don't do targeted advertising). To exercise any right, email us — no forms required.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Payments are tokenized by Square in your browser so card data never reaches us. Access to booking information is limited to staff who need it to schedule and perform your service.
7. Children
Our services and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
8. Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be flagged prominently on this page.
